Patio Cleaning In Huntington Beach, CA

Patios take everything. Food and drink spills, planter rings, barbecue grease, algae in whatever corner stays shaded, and around here a constant layer of salt and blown sand. Because you walk on it every day, the change happens too slowly to see, until furniture gets moved and the clean square underneath shows what the surface used to look like.

Pavers, Concrete, Brick And Stone

Each surface gets a different setup. Concrete takes a surface cleaner. Pavers get lower pressure so the joint sand is not stripped out of the seams. Brick and natural stone are softer than people expect and get soft washed, because too much pressure will etch the face and there is no undoing it.

Algae, Mildew And The Slip Problem

The green film that builds up in the shaded half of a patio is a safety issue before it is a looks issue. It gets slick the moment it is wet, and the coastal marine layer keeps it wet most mornings. Treating it kills the growth rather than pushing it into the joints to come back in a month.

Furniture, Planters And Covered Areas

Furniture and planters get moved so the whole surface gets cleaned, not just the parts nobody was standing on. Overheads, posts and the underside of covered areas usually need attention at the same time, since cobwebs and dirt collect there faster than on the deck itself.

Pool Decks And Surrounds

Pool decks collect sunscreen, body oils and organic growth around the coping. They also need to stay non slip, so pressure is set to clean the texture without polishing it flat.

Common Questions

Will cleaning blow the sand out of my pavers?

Not the way we run it. Pavers get lower pressure and a wider fan than concrete specifically to keep the joints intact.

Do you seal patios after cleaning?

Ask at the quote and we will tell you honestly whether your surface would benefit from it and what it involves.

How long before I can use the patio again?

As soon as it is dry, usually a couple of hours in normal weather.
